BLE bluetooth shield for arduino

Hi,

I've been doing a project involving the BLE 4.0 bluetooth shield for arduino and I haven't really understood the basic commands of how to use it with arduino. The only thing I want to know is how to send numbers, like floats or longs or anything else from the bluetooth shield to your iPhone. The example that comes with it is very complicated and not at all relevant to my project. can someone please post a simple commented code for the BLE shield for arduino from redBearlabs which can help me understand and learn the basics of using the shield. The only thing I really am interested in knowing at this point is how to send numbers over bluetooth.

thanks

sorry I took so long to

sorry I took so long to respond.

I don’t have an android but I think that I will just communicate to my computer with a different bluetooth module and maybe also use that to communicate with android if I get one or have access to one.

thanks for the advice and it is good to know I am not the only one with this problem
