Bird box trigger

This is another of my camera projects, a light sensing trigger for my bird box.The system uses an LDR to sense changes of light inside the bird box. That occurs when a bird is blocking the entrance or flying past it. The system is self calibrating so it doesn’t go off if a cloud drifts past the sun.I’m using a hacked remote camera cable for the trigger and the LDR is glued inside a plastic tube (an old felt pen) and mounted above the ‘door’. When the sensor triggers, the camera takes a burst of 8 pictures. Needless to say, many of the pictures are useless, -but my SD card hold 2500 frames so what the heck.

I love these wireless protoboards

Really nice pics! If you have them in high res, please link!

Thank you

I attached one picture to this post.

I actually won my company’s photo contest for May 2009 with this one.
Everyone thought I was a patient photographer when I actually was taking a beer in the sun when the shot was taken

Hehe, working smarter not
Hehe, working smarter not harder right? Fantastic shots btw, the results certainly justify the electronics =)

Very nice, very inspiring! If I ever get the time…

I have a small and very fast RC car. I often dreamed of making it jump, and while in mid air fire a tablebomb under it, while taking a snapshot  ALl controlled my MCU, and sensors, of course.

I dig what you have done!
