Yes, of course! 
A popular remote control for any robot is the wireless PS2 controller sold by Lynxmotion. There is also a lot of code available for the Basic Atom (including the Pro) and PS2 remote control for various robots. There are entire forums dedicated to remote control and the PS2 remote.
