Hi, I am a new in robotics, I am going to do a biped for my final year project, but I am stuck in calculating the mechanical structure of the robots,
if anyone heres know, please help me… many many thanks…
???
do you want to find out how much it will cost you to buy a LM biped?
here are the kits and also the assembly notes.

This question is way to wide. Were you asking what components are needed? if so we have to know what design you want to build.
Were you asking how to fabricate your own brackets/parts? Help us, help you…
Thanks for SN96 and innerbreed reply.
ya… i am asking how to fabricate my own brackets/parts?and calculating the structure of the robot to make it balance…
I am a E&E student, so I am very week in mechanical part, hope that you can help me
The first thing most engineers do is to study in depth what is already available and then start developing ideas. People will help if you demonstrate you have done done some work on your own. Not sure how many forum people want to do a “final year project” and not get the school credit for it.
this being said i think it might be a good idea if you grab yourself some brackets and experiment with them first!
once you have an understanding about (the mechanical advantages and disadvantages) and (programming) then you can start to bring in your own ideas.
you can still make a custom biped using avaliable parts from LM!
being new to robotics (or anything for that matter) doesnt mean you cant jump stright in with your own ideas, but i would experiment and Study ideas before you begin.
im sure you have lots of ideas and everyone will be willing to help you develope these ideas, but …
…People will help if you demonstrate you have done done some work on your own.
ya…I understand that.
But the problem I having now is, how the dynamic structure should be?It should have some equation to calculate that, right?Or is there any suggestion on the related topic…
Thanks you very much.
