Biped BRAT & Scout

Hello

We have here both the BRAT and the SCOUT and the battery has burnt in both. The wiring was checked and everthing seems to be correct. What could be the problem? Also is there a manual for the SCOUT using Visual Sequencer as I only see for the BRAT.
The battery used for both is the 6.0 Volt Ni-MH 1600mAh Battery Pack…

Thanks

There is no tutorial specific to the Scout. The tutorials for the BRAT are good for learning the basics of using the Sequencer. The process for the Scout is the same as the BRAT, there’s just more servos.

As for the burning battery? You must be doing something wrong in your wiring. Can you explain in more detail?

Installed the wires to the VS1 with the black going to the positive side and red going to the negative side. Then connected the 6.0 Volt Ni-MH 1600mAh battery to it.
Connected the servo wires to the SSC-32 as how it was shown in the assembly guide.
The Robot’s left connected to Channels 0 - 5 starting form the foot rotate ending at the hip rotate and the robot’s right connected to channels 16 - 21 also starting with the foot rotate ending with the hip rotate…

Uhoh… :frowning:

sorry i meant the black wire is in the negative and the red wire is in positive…

When wiring the WH-01 to the SSC-32 or Bot Board 2… If you are not careful and blindly shove the wires into the terminals it’s possible that some strands of the wires can be bound up and not make it inside the terminal housing. If these jumbled and twisted wires make contact with each other then your battery has a direct short and can get very hot. I do not know if this is what happened, but it is a possible cause.
