Hey everyone!
I’m a little new to the world of robotics, and I started out a BRAT Biped project a few months ago. Now, I’ve decided to expand my BRAT, so I ordered the BT-01 Humanoid Torso, some brackets for arms, and HS-645MG servos for the legs. Is it possible to use the same 6 servo leg configuration that the BRAT features, or should I add 2 more servos, as suggested in the assembly guidelines?

The great thing about the erector set is that it has so many configurations possible. There really is no “correct” way.
Anyway, if you’re talking about the two servos that are on the torso, i believe those are only for opening and closing of the brats legs. Not absolutely critical, and remember the code starts to get more complicated with a greater amount of DOF. I would assume it is completely possible to use the 6 servo design, but it would be more human like with the extra servos, and i would imagine it might be easier to walk since it could actually shift its weight, your choice
