Biosignalsplux Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) Cardiovascular Biometric Sensor

Hello,

I’m planning to buy a Biosignalsplux Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) Cardiovascular Biometric Sensor. I kindly have few questions:

  1. Does the device provide PPG raw data?

  2. Is it possible to download the data thanks to the opensignal software?

  3. Does the device connect directly with the pc or laptop?

  4. In order to have the ppg raw data, Do I need just the device and the software installed?

Thanks very much

Hello @MarcS and welcome to the RobotShop forum,

  1. Yes. You can find more informaiton here:

  1. Yes. The acquired data can be visualized after the acquisition and exported in the .TXT, .H5, and .EDF file formats to compatible third-party software.

  1. No, you need a signal acquisition unit (biosignalsplux).

Hi Geraldine,

Thanks very much for the prompt reply.

I was thinking to buy a Biosignalsplux Explorer Research Kit (4 Sensors), a Biosignalsplux Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) Cardiovascular Biometric Sensor and Biosignalsplux Electrocardiography (ECG) Sensor

  1. Is the BVP sensor compatible with the explorer kit?

If I go on the explorer kit page on robotshop and scroll down, I don’t have as sensor option the BVP. However if I look for it separately, it should be in stock. In addition, if I’m looking in the PLUX website, it said they are compatible.

  1. Is it possible to have BVP and ECG synchronized data?

  2. Do I need a Biosignalsplux Synchronization Accessory Kit (SYNC) for that? Or If I have just two sensors the explorer kit is enough?

Thanks very much in advace

Hello Marc,

  1. Yes, The blood volume pulse sensor can be connected to any of the analog inputs on the biosignalsplux hub included in the explorer kit.

2/3. Unfortunately, I don’t know this information, I suggest contacting biosignalsplux support regarding this question.
