Hello i am thinking of building a bigger version of the dagu 6wd wild thumper. a big one that can tow and go over larger obstacles much like the smaller current one. The motors i have selected to use are winshield wiper motors and will be powered by either a custom build lithium polymer battery pack (putting a bunch of 3 cell 2200mah batteries in parallel) or a car battery. I would probably go for the lithium polymer as they have a greater energy density.
What inspired me

Now the only problem would be implementing a suspension system. Any ideas? Thank you

After spending an hour playing in OpenSCAD,
I have come to the conclusion a plate, that will mount the motor, could have any manner of suspension added to it. I don’t know what kind of horizontal/vertical force the wiper motors could put up with. You might really require some creative shock absorbtion.
I was using the following for reference
And, this is what I came up with:
Anything beyond that is on you. :)
Thanks Birdmun!
That could actually work! i will start experiementing with this idea with some heavy duty torsion springs Decemberish as i have final year exams to study for. Thanks for your help
When I said I spent an hour on it,
I didn’t mean to make it seem like I slaved over anything. It was more, I suppose, condemning the fact that after an hour of fumbling around, the best I could come up with was a plate to mount the motor and suspension to.
