Ok first I need to apologize I did this project last year and just now got around to getting
A vid posted. It is basically a 4 dof T-HEX/Phoenix. I used zenta’s code when he had first posted it.
The body is the same size as my a-pod clone. (Just a little bigger then zenta’s original) .The only change I made to the legs is I used the 3 inch tube at the end to make the legs a little longer . It has all 5990TGs The finish was done by a vary talented friend of mine at work.
Thank you for your kind comments. Ha-ha. No B movie prop. Just the guys in the shop having too much fun. I am the head engineer for an animatronic company here in southern California. We do a lot of theme park and museum work around the world. My boss affords me “special prototype Projects “ for fun. This is one of those as is the a pod clone. Sadly, the one in this video is all apart right Now. I smoked a 5990(was not a good day) I needed it for the a-pod clone. I am really bad at remembering to document stuff that is in house R&D or personal . This guy did make it to the Disney land hotel last year for an animatronic/themed entertainment convention we hosted. You know when you hit start after it has been running and in sleep mode and the bot jumps to initial position that made a few people spill there drinks.(*Not recommended for long servo life *)I will try to get some pics of the finish, posted as well as document the finish of the a-pod clone better .
Really cool! A “dressed” hexapod
I can see you’re into animatronics, nice work! A pitty there is no documentation about the work in progress. I would love to see how this puppy is made.
