Why not create a biped sumo class. Say 6" x 6" with no height limit. Now you get the coolness factor times ten. Robo-one is cool, but this would be more difficult. It’s relatively easy to knock down a walker, but more difficult to push one out of a sumo ring. It’s an idea anyway…
I agree, but it will be a while before there are enough people to have a be-ped only class.
So in the mean time, I take my bipeds and put them into other contests.
How does that old saying go… “if you build them, they will come”?

How about a BRAT class biped sumo comp. Cheaper and still cool.
The ring would have to be really small for BRAT sumo. Methinks you’d need arms to move another biped any kind of distance.
Also, I think keeping it autonomous would be cool.
Why limit it to just a Brat class, just say bi-ped.
None of my bi-peds have ever tried to push the other guy out of the ring. I was more intersted to see how long it took my robot to lose. Some matches went quick, others took a long time.
Build the bot, and enter in into what ever contest that is near you.
Put one in the Trinity Fire Fighting contest. When the robot finds the candle. Have the robot stomp on the burning candle like anyone of us would do if we see a burning candle.
Build the bot, and enter it into any contest near you.
Just make sure you get someone to video tape it.
