What is the best product for RoboCross? Here’s an example (you only need to watch the first 20 seconds):

VEX seems well adapted. What about VEX IQ?
Does Robotshop carry VEX IQ? Why not?
Can you use the VEX wrist with VEX IQ?
Any others?
VEX, Lynxmotion, Actobotics and the Stacker all use standard hobby servo motors. The only difference will be the design and the weight. Actobotics brackets will be on the heavy side.
The tracks on the Tri-Track have a plastic core structure but the grip is rubber, which provides excellent traction. It can go over a speed bump. We have not tested the other two, though they sell well.
Unfortunately we do not carry VEX IQ as the manufacturer has taken a very different approach with selling this new product. We do sell all the normal VEX products including the gripper. Since we don’t carry VEX IQ, we cannot speak about the compatibility or provide support.
If the task is to pick up and place objects by remote control, you might also consider the Stacker Robot. Actobotics is also a modular construction system which could make such a robot. You could of course also consider Lynxmotion products.
Thanks!
Of the four, which would you say is best suited toward quickly picking up small items and placing them in a container?
Thanks.
Is there any other product that you carry that is suited to this task?
