Best location for Servo

I have a requirement to attach a second level to a bot, and wish to have it tilt. Basically, a tilt mechanism for a large (4" x 10" ellipse) base.

OK, so I could use a tilt mechanism or construct one with a servo bracket, hinge and C bracket.

My question is if there is any mechanical or design advantage to the second option? I have MOHO…

Option B would be able to move heavier loads over the smaller range of motion. It would also allow for finer position control of the tilted platform.

The smaller range of motion is acceptable. It also is the one thing I knew I was forgetting :laughing:
