Hi, I am considering the Roomba 800 up or the Neato D75 up models. I have mostly hardwood floors, but a large mid shag carpet in living room which is about .75 inches high. My concern is which Robotic vacuum cleaner will mount easily and clean easily this carpet along with the floors. On the internet there is very little information about which robots mount easily and clean easily this high and this type of carpet. can you help advise me? thanks. –
@■■■■ +, not many robots are designed to go over such height of carpets, most of them will do fine with low pile carpets under 1/4 of an inch and up to 1/2 of an inch, from what iRobot shows with the new Roomba 980 it is capable of going over many carpets. Also the Samsung Powerbot as a great capability of climbing the higher carpets edges. For a carpet that is 3/4 of an inch high these would be the recommended models. The Neato will not be a good choice for this type of carpet.
Hello,
I like the information you shared.
I need to know something about this robot carpet cleaners.
Do these robots are useful in maple wood floor???
Hi Jack147,
The Neato vacuum cleaner features a combo brush that is uniquely designed on hard floors like wood and tile. We’ve never heard of any issues about using the Neato vacuum cleaner on maple floors. The same applies for the Roomba models.
@■■■■ +
Neatos And Roombas can clear obstacles, thresholds or changes in floor surface that are up to 3/4″ (19mm) high.
I think the Roomba 900 series models help you. Because the retracting wheels came equipped help the robot vacuum navigate high over the obstacles like toys, carpets even the thick high pile rugs, cables etc., easily. These models easily traverse between different types of floors. Especially considering the large shag carpet it is always the best idea to look out the top-notch Roomba models as the lower series models can damage your carpets and they are not up to mark for cleaning shag rugs.
Hi there new to the forum. Trying to find a robovac that would work in a large auditorium under chairs placed in a row. Any recommendations?
I think Roomba 980 Helps you. Because it covers large spaces compared to the other robot vacuums
and my DH are looking for Good Carpet Cleaners for our New House.Steam baby Stroller sound like a good idea, but some of my friends told me it is not safe enough for the carpets.Anyone has suggestions?
And what brand of Carpet CLeaners is the best?
When choosing robot vacuums for carpet, don’t be tempted to assume that price equals efficiency. Some vacuums are way too expensive but their performance is poor. I’ve been using Roomba 690 for one half years now, and it works really well. Previously I used ECOVACS DEEBOT M80 pro which always performed well. Remember, there is always a downside to every robot vacuum, so just select one with the features you really need
In my own thoughts, before purchasing a carpet cleaning service, make sure to read some of the reviews as well as the feedback of the clients.
For me I prefer to do it myself with https://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Carpet-Cleaning-Solution/
