Best bots for high-students to learn coding

I am interested in purchasing a Bot for High School students to learn coding (possibly Python). Expense is not an issue.
Can you suggest a challenging item for a Computer Information Systems Program.
Thank you

Hello @fzaso and welcome to the community!

There are lots of options of robotic kits to learn coding, here are a few:

Let me know if you like one of those options or if you are looking for more challenging robots :robot:

Make sure you evaluate the Dexter Industries GoPiGo3

They have a “free 45 day trial for educators (pay the shipping)

Some of the reasons I went for the GoPiGo3 were:

 1. Has an active community forum
 2. Frequent GitHub updates to their open software shows response to issues and continuous broadening of features
 3. Support for WiFi lockdown environments that need local access point development environment
 4. Python, Java, C++ (and others) examples and coding environment
 5. Sophisticated examples show use of algorithms beyond sequential programming
 6. Examples maintain and demonstrate modern software coding standards, and language usage styles
 7. They have replacement parts available
 8. On board A2D and battery voltage available
 9. Use of Grove connectors / interface
 10. Someone already figured out how to make a GoPiGo3 ROS-node

This is my personalized GoPiGo3:
