Berty

I've been viewing Jaidyn Edwards (ChickenParmi) robot 'PopPet and it has inspired me to create Berty. Berty will be powered by 2 Li-Po batteries and 2 constant rotation servos for drive. I am deciding to buy another uno or nano as my other robot Herman is permanently keeping my original uno. I will add some other capabilities such as line following and voice control later on down the line. Happy robot making LMR!

=UPDATE=

New face plate as the old one was snapped. Also added a block on the back as a caster.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://community.robotshop.com/robots/show/berty

Looks an awful lot like my robot. Both had similar inspiration.

You should know I backed jayden edwards off kickstarter and I am still waiting for it in the mail. Here is my robot both have similar concepts.

Dave,

If you’re going to be buying multiple Arduiono, you might look into eBay for the clones. They seem to work the same, and the clones are much more affordable.

I also like the small format Arduinos for robots; I use my UNO for breadboard testing where space doesn’t matter.

When you’re ready for voice control, you might look at the small Linux boards such as the Raspberry Pi.

Yeah I know like the popet.

Good plans

I do buy cheap clones as I am limited on money. I also have a raspberry pi which i can use eventually aswell.

I Love It!

The steampunk design really suits robots and gives it that 60’s feel. Looks awesome!
