Benewake TFMINI Plus Micro LIDAR Module UART/I2C (12 m) not working

Hi all.
I have a TF mini plus which is supposed to work either via UART or I2c. By default it should work via UART.
I downloaded the proper gui, connected a TTL to USB adapter…done this lots of times with other TF Minis I have.
But I got no data. Now all the TF Minis I have are UART, this is the first thats both Uart or I2C.
So I am at a loss as to what I am doing wrong.

Hello @Rickyg,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your LIDAR Module.

Please check the interfacing guide in this page to have a better understanding and fix this issue:

You can use this option as well, if you have the pro-mini board:

You can transfer UART communication interface to I2C communication interface through the pro mini board. The connection details are as follows:

Thanks fir this Ebram.
Does the Pro Mini require any firmware to run it

You would just need Arduino IDE and some basic Arduino knowledge.

You can check this blog for further details:

@Ebram your means, even TFmini Plus can be setup by its GUI tools from UART to I2C, I have to use pro-mini to convert it?
