Is this sensor waterproof ?
Can it be use outside in the sun ?

Welcome to RobotShop community.

This sensor is not waterproof and it wouldn’t work properly in the sun.

You can check this one instead: Benewake TFMINI Plus Micro LIDAR Module UART/I2C (12 m)

It has IP65 rating.
