I am considering the Benewake TF-03 rangefinder for a project whereby it must measure the distance to a moving object up to 40m. This product stood out given its high update rate and impressive range capability. I hope to use an Arduino set up in order to achieve this, communicating via the TF-03’s UART interface. However, I can’t find any reviews of this product anywhere on the internet, let alone just on RobotShop! I was wondering if anyone had experience using this product or similar Benewake products - does it actually stand up to the listed specifications? Similarly, does anyone have any experience in communicating via UART for rangefinding projects and those alike?
