Beginner in hexapod autonomous program

(I think I have the BH3–it’s the 3DOF-B legs, anyway. SSC-32, Bot Board II, Atom 28, latest version of PowerPod, ver 2.2.1.1 of the Basic Micro Atom IDE. Following the /build99c.htm tutorial. (It won’t let me post the link))

After receiving wonderful & speedy help from a previous problem dealing with my stupidity/newbness, I figured I’d give the forums a shot after hunting around on here. (Feel free to link me to a post if I missed something!) I have a couple of problems.

One is fairly easy: The tutorial says to edit the lines in the “movequery” routine, but despite my best efforts to find a sub remotely labeled as such…I don’t see it. My best guess at this point is to edit either the main or the shunt sub. I’ve programmed a while–given that I’m a college sophmore, four years feels like a lot to me–and although the most recent is of the GUI-ish kind (Java, C++, Matlab, Python), I’ve done a couple of years in PIC-BASIC using autonomous robots (from scratch, woo!). So I’ve RTFM, fiddled around, and I’m still a bit confused.

The other problem is that I’ve gotten to Step 11 of the build99c tutorial, and a few good things happen and a few good things don’t happen. The board is programmed quite finely (according to the BMA IDE, anyway) and I hear some short beeps. However, I don’t get any of the legs-up/legs-down routine, or any movement at all, for that matter (not even the all-1500 calibrated servo snap). The only steps I veered away from in the tutorial were the PS2 adapter installation steps (8 & 9), because a) I want it to be autonomous, and b) I don’t have a PS2 on me anyway.

So…thanks for any help volunteered! I’ll be hunting around in the forums for more help, so again, feel free to point me to a past post I’ve missed.
