Snap Circuits are a good start if someone wants to learn about basics of electronics. I think the largest one is this:
If you want to start with something more advanced, I can recommend choosing something from this category:

If your kid likes robots very much, you can try to find one there

You can find many of those kits in the Robotics Education section, like the Ozobot and the Dash and Dot.
