I am doing my B.E in Automobile engineering ,I am intrested in robotics , so i need help to do some projects that is very basic

be very careful with what you say, like “help” and all that. it’s a great site, just don’t ask for too much help 
btw, it depends what kind of skills you have.
1) If you know C or something, you should probably start with the Arduino platform
2) If you want to get into programmable bots and you don’t really know any programming languages, choose something like a PICAXE. BASIC is very easy to learn, I figured most of it out in two days.
3) If you don’t want to get into programmable bots, but have a good eye for mechanical awesomeness and have a basic grip on electronics, you might want to start with BEAM robots.

i started with the Arduino, cos im dero, there are two tutorials on an arduino starter robot. one being mine and the other being guibot’s. both are good tutorials. and dont be afraid to ask or search the forums, they are very well set up.
