Bearing base for a free-wheeling spool?

Hi friends, I’ve got a spool about 3" tall about 2" diameter (with a 6mm shaft) that I would like to solidly attach to a base, but also have it freewheel. I’m guessing there would be some sort of ball bearing base that the shaft would attach to, with a collar securing it at the top, but I’m not sure what to search for.

The spool fits 70mm movie film, there’s another sprocketed spool on a servo that is actually doing the transport, this free-wheeling spool is just a guide.

I’d appreciate any suggestions!

Hello @vdonovan2000!

You could use a base rotate kit, for example:

Or in case you want to build it yourself this can give you some ideas of the parts needed:

Oooh yeah, those look like the business. Many thanks for your help!
