Battery Specification for Devantech RD03 - 24 Volt Robot Drive System

Hey ,

I am Newbie in robot and electronic, but I would like to try it out.
I have recently bought the Devantech RD03 - 24 Volt Robot Drive System, but I have not yet bought the battery.
I need advice in what is the continue discharge current (A) and peak discharge current (A) suitable for this robot system ? Furthermore, I need a battery that can last the system long. Any suggestion ?

Cheers,
Tim

Each motor is rated at 13A stall current and 0.5A no load. You should plan for about 3.5 to 4A continuous per motor, so the battery needs to be able to provide about 7-10A continuously. Also, ut’s a 24V system, so you’d need either a lead acid battery (we don’t offer those since shipping would be really expensive, and you can normally get it locally), or two 12V batteries such as 2x BAT-06 with appropriate cables WH-01 and/or quick connect.
