Hi,
I work on controlling the motion of a wheeled mobile robot. I have used a Duracell battery brand of 9 v to power the arduino and the 2 motors. After i started testing my robot, i found that there is a drop in the voltage of battery after about 30 min of use and that affects the speed and motion of robot. Any suggestions to solve this problem !
Thank you
Hi,
A 9V battery can be used to power the Arduino only but driving an Arduino and two motors is not suggested, the 9V battery’s capacity and discharge rate are not high enough to drive two motors.
It is highly suggested to use a different power source (one for the Arduino and another one for the motors).
You can also simply use 6 x AA batteries instead of the 9V battery, this will give better results.
