Battery Power

Hi;

Just looking at buying some rechargables, saw these cheap NiMh rechargeables but I'd need a charger, but then found this Tamyia 3000 mAH pack that comes with a charger, may prove better VFM.

It will be powering Arduino Nano ATMega328 (clone with CH340G chip), 2 x small DC Motors, 1 x HCSR04 Ultrasonic Detector, L298N Motor Driver and a Micro 9g Servo. May use it for another bot later so would need extra capacity?

I have an old battery charger (its German) but just checked the specs and it seems that for AA the capacity is 500 - 1800mAh so looks like i'll need a new charger if I go for AA rechargeables.

I also have a ROBBI Battery Pack Charger with various connectors and outputs 25mAh to 500mAh? But again its old.

3000mAh is a lot. I have a walking robot with a single 180mAh lipo cell, and it can walk on a single charge for 20 minutes. Considering that wheels are likely to be more energy-efficient on flat surfaces than legs, the batteries that you are looking for should give you either great power or great running time.

Just about to order a 2200mAh LiPo battery and a charger/discharger from HobbyKing.

Seems a good deal?
