Battery pack changing and monitoring

Hi there,

I bought two batteries a 6v and a 12V. Both 2800mah NiMh.

robotshop.com/en/120v-2800ma … -pack.html

Both have multiple cells.
What charger should I use to ensure they are balanced corrected?
Is it risky/difficult to do it with a dc power supply like this robotshop.com/en/elenco-xp-7 … upply.html ?

A different question is how can I monitor their use to know when is it time to charge them again?

Hi,

You can use this 6V - 12V NiMH / NiCd Smart Charger.
It is not recommended to charge NiMH or NiCd batteries with a dc power supply. NiHM chargers has a specific charging method/profile to charge the batteries like the Trickle charging or the ΔV charging method.
You can read more about this here.
We unfortunately don’t offer NiMH battery monitors.

Regards,
