my sone wants to make a lipo battery for his car and looking it up myself i found the SFE Lithium Polymer Battery Cell - 3.7V 2000mAh. my question would be how many of these cell’s would he need to make the 12v battery with equivalent capacity. or maybe there is something else i should show him to look into. can someone help me out because i do not no much about this stuff i jest assemble lol
You could, in theory, place 3 cells in series to obtain 11.1V or 4 to get 14.8V. Ideally, you should purchase a battery pack containing matched cells.
When it comes to batteries, i have found that lithium ion is nice.
But it really depends on whatever kind you would like to use, its your/his choice, experimenting always helps, just add up the voltage.
