Battery for Kitronik Compact All-In-One Robotics Board for BBC micro:bit

What would be the biggest DC motors you could place on a Kitronik Compact All-In-One Robotics Board for BBC micro:bit and what rechargeable battery would you suggest/

Hi @fmorton and welcome to the forum!

Please see this datasheet: https://resources.kitronik.co.uk/pdf/5693-compact-robotics-board-for-microbit-datasheet.pdf

According to it, you should not go over 10A when you take into account all servos and motors.

Also, according to it, it says that 1.5A is max current draw per motor, so I would go with that. Don’t connect motor which can draw more than this.

In the end, it recommends powering the board with 6.0V – 10.8V so I would suggest using LiPo 7.4V battery = 2 cells x 3.7V= 2S battery

I hope this helps.
