Hi,
I bought a “32bit OpenCM9.04 Microcontroller (Product Code : RB-Rbs-123)” from RobotShop to control “Dynamixel XL-320 OLLO Smart Serial Servo (Product Code : RB-Rbs-151)”. Someone told me to use a 7.4v LiPo to power it all, so I got this: “7.4V 2000mAh LiPo Battery (Product Code : RB-Kow-12)”
Now that I have all that and my battery has been charged, I encountered a problem. The battery connector doesn’t fit in the controller battery slot(s).
What can I do? Should I buy an adaptor?
Thanks,
Kad
Hi,
You could buy an 2.1mm Barrel Jack to Terminal Adaptor. You will have to solder some wires on the board (++ and --) pins. It will also be important that you use all four holes as the reason they did this is probably to distribute the current properly. The openCM power connectors are not very standard in the way they are wired so you won’t find a battery with already the good connectors.
Best regards,
Hi,
Not sure I understand correctly… So, the new barrel connector will plug into the battery power Jack (the round one). On the OpenCM controller, I will have to solder 4 wires, all of which will be wired onto the screws.
Right?
