I’m wondering if my charger connector (mini Tamiya) is oriented incorrectly. If I plugged it in as is, I’d be plugging the red from the charger to the black of the battery and vice versa.
It looks like most Tamiya plugs have the negative on the round side of the connector.
Any thoughts?

The colors of the wires should always match from the charger to the battery (red with red and black with black).
The cable adapter from standard Tamiya to Mini Tamiya is reversed to be used with Airsoft Gun batteries which are wired backwards compared to hobby RC batteries.
The way you have your battery connected to your charger currently is reversed.
