Batteries and wireless charging

Hi all!

I would like to know if other peoples are annoyed of charging the batteries, because to charge the batteries supplied with 4awd is quite a process… you need to switch off the unit, disconnect the batteries and connect them to power supply…

So I was thinking about making it easier by placing something in the middle or using different batteries to make it possible to charge the batteries without any switching off of the unit, like plenty of other devices do. So it this would be great if someone can point me how to solve this issue or to any existing product to replace the standard battery pack to … thank you very much in advance!

Another more complicated and advanced idea is to use PowerMat kind charging (electromagnetic induction) to make it possible to charge the unit without any connectors at all, but just by touching charging dock… any thoughts about it?

isn’t additional charger power connector easier? bot have on/off switch, so when it off you just plug charger to socket mounted on bot body and thats all. just 2 more cables

You might consider a charging switch, the battery selects between the 'bot and a charging connector. Center off. You could add a diode to run the 'bot while charging.

1 also fine, but may be overshot. female charge socket connected to pack for hard thats all needed.
2 i would better avoid this if LiPo pack used
