batt power!

just for the record, how long would a e.g: 12 servo hex run for using (6.0v) 4x 1.5v standard AA type batteries for the servos?

and what about performance?

obviously its not great but, it is “just for the record”!

cheers

a Duracell Alkaline AA cell is about 2800mah. so roughly the run time you get from a 2800mah NiMH sub-c pack, or take the run time you are getting for a 1600mah nimh pack and double it.

thinking of trying to wire up a circuit using AA’s for my quad project, and having one AA in each leg to spread the load.

thanks.

remmber that the cell connections and properties of the wire used to inter-connect something like that will become significant if your currents are more than an ampere or two.

Higher voltages parallel connected using diodes and a centrally located BEC device to knock the voltage down (and current up) might work much better.

yeah iv just been looking for a BEC device to look after this. any good links?

im looking at the best way to create this circuit.
