I’m working on a robot project. We need to make 2 arms. they need to move 180 degrees. the arms are connected, with the overall shape looking like a u shape. the two motors will be attached on the inside of the top left and right of the u. max 1kg weight of arms.
i just need to find a motor which can do this, preferably with teeth on the shaft, but not needed. any advice/recommendations would be great, thanks.

Hi.Below is a top down image of the rough design. the motors will be supported from below, and the arms will pivot about the motors. All I need is 2 motors which will have enough torque to lift this. the overall weight of the arms and connector will be less than 1kg.
the arms need to be able to rotate 180 degreees, so they are either facing forwards, having “captured” an object, like in the second picture below:
Or they will be folded back, waiting until the robot has lined up with another object, like in the last picture below:

While that looks great, it’s also fairly expensive, cause we need to have 2 of them. Sorry, i probably should have mentioned this earlier, about £15 max per motor. My bad. Thanks for the recommendation anyway though.
