BaneBots 700 with Encoder?

I’m trying to spec a motor/gearbox setup with a quadrature encoder for the following requirements:

Max speed out of gearbox: 540 rpm (or higher)
Stall Torque out of gearbox: 650 oz-in (~6150 mNm)

I believe that a Banebots RS-775 24V motor and 11:1 or 13:1 gearbox (11:1 results in 1145 rpm, 1313 oz-in output) should meet these requirements, but I don’t see an obvious solution for a quadrature encoder. Suggestions for this setup or any alternative are welcome. The FIRST CIM motors are another option, but I would like to get something in a smaller diameter package if possible.

This motor will see a fairly low duty cycle, and can be supplied with >50A / >1kW for short periods without much trouble.

Many of those brushed DC motors do not have rear shafts, making adding an encoder quite difficult

You might consider a slightly less powerful DC gear motor with encoder included:

The CIM motor does not have a rear shaft either, and mounting the encoder to the front creates a few potential issues.
