I require your help regarding a drawing robot and the file types it accept.
We do a lot of personalization and this robot, AxiDraw SE/A3 Personal Writing & Drawing Robot, would help immensely.
Software concerned: We receive the files as a .csv or convert them to excel.
Will this robot work with excel or does it have to be a vector file?

Yes, you can use AxiDraw Merge which is a software designed to automate certain workflows on the AxiDraw, and encompasses the primary capabilities of both AxiDraw Control and Hershey Advanced. You can use AxiDraw Merge to automatically populate a template with data sourced from a CSV (spreadsheet) file, perform font substitution using Hershey Advanced, plot the document, and repeat with data from specified rows of your CSV file.
You can also use Inkscape Generator which is an Inkscape extension to auto-replace text in your document with data from a CSV file.
