My first post here; please pardon if questions seem silly. I am considering purchase of a Tri Track kit and am curious what exactly is needed for autonomous operation. Bot Board ? Bot Board and SSC-32 ? Is SSC-32 only for controlling servo (PWM) motors ? If I used the supplied motors, do I need a Sabertooth instead? I don’t understand the distinction , nor the variety of Sabertooth models available. Thanks.
If you’re just getting the TriTracks, you don’t need the SSC-32, since it is just for servos. You would want the Sabertooth 2x5 model, and something to act as the “brain” (basically, a micro-controller). You will also most likely need some sensors, to help the robot avoid running into things, and possibly help it accomplish tasks.
