Hello,
I woke up one morning, and the motor on my Automatic Filtered Pet Waterer (Large), seems to have just died. I have looked for any obvious blockage or such, but did NOT unscrew the motor, or take anything apart. The product code is: RB-Erg-06

Please tell me what I can do next. I’ve only had it for 6 months.
Thank you,
Rebecca
Hello Julie,
I have taken the unit apart and cleaned the pump, but as I kind of suspected, it is still completely dead. I am wondering if it is possible to order a replacement part for this, or if I would have to get a whole new machine?
Thank you,
Rebecca
Yes, the pump should indeed hum. You may certainly take our the holder and screw from the base and clean out the pump. You may then make sure that the cable is correctly plugged into the adapter and try it again. The cable and pump do come in two pieces that could come apart.
The first thing to try would be to clean the pump. Sometimes it can get filled with debris and this does not filter water properly. We suggest removing the pump from the waterer and cleaning it with warm water and then re-installing it. Do you hear the pump buzzing at all when plugged in?
We do sell a replacement pump for this product. But, since your product is only 6 months old, we will gladly replace this part free of charge. Please contact us via our support center and we will send you a new pump under warranty.
