Hello, I would like to control the start of 16 electric motors with a temperature sensor.
I wish I could adjust the temperature for starting the motor from my computer.
I saw controller type Phidgets 0/16/16, is this type of controller I need?
If so, can we control 2 card with the software?

We don’t think the Phidgets 0/16/16 will be sufficient for your needs.
Have you chosen your thermal sensors? Most of them produce analog signals, which you wouldn’t be able to read with the 0/16/16 because it doesn’t have any analog inputs. The 8/8/8 model has 8 analog inputs.
Also, have you chosen motor controllers (or relays) to control your motors? Do you need to adjust the speed, or just turn them on/off? If you just want on/off, you can use the Elexol 8-Channel Serial Relay Module to control 115 VAC motors up to 5A each, and this module can be controlled by the 8/8/8.
If you want to control the speed, the solution requires more complex motor controllers (we don’t carry controllers for 115 VAC), but you will also need to verify if the 8/8/8 can generate compatible signals (depends on controllers selected).
What’s the nature of your project? Are you building a HVAC – heating, ventilation, air conditioning – system? If so, we don’t expect that the 5A limit of the relay module will be sufficient either…

You would need one 8/8/8 board for each 8-relay module, but you would need two boards anyways if you still wanted to read 16 temperature sensors (such as RB-Phi-68): 8 temperature sensor per board.
Do you know what is the current consumption of the ventilation motors? It’s important that it’s verified because it’s possible it exceeds 5 amps, in which case the Elexol 8-Channel Serial Relay Module won’t be sufficient for your needs.
