Question - why do the channels sizes go from 6 to 7 to 12? Seems a little odd… 6-9-12 would have made more sense to me.

Yup, I’m building some new ones with the new bracket to photograph this weekend. 
I would have liked to make 2" to 20" but that would have been a major investment. 6 was in the middle of the 12, and 7 was so a symmetrical “thingy” could be made. Eventually I will add more, but Mega and Micro brackets have bypassed them in priority.
