Arm not pulling its self up. Help Needed!

Hello, I have a pretty new arm. It was the longest size sold from robot shop if that matters. Anyway the big servo motor directly above the servo that rotates the base is having some issues. Once the arm lowers itself it can not pull the arm back up. The spring does not seem to be helping much. Any Idea on how to fix this? It is currently running on 5v. Should I push it up to six? Thanks!

Thanks!

Would a photo help you guys?

Check your battery voltage at the servo pins, you might need to use a separate servo battery. Refer to the assembly tutorial.

I think in the arduino forum you were told that performance using 5v will be mediocre. The arm info says use a 6v 2a power supply.

The servo at the base requires a good amount of current, and we strongly suggest a 6V supply. Most of the arm kits include a power supply - which did you purchase? Are you using a separate 9V battery for the logic?
