Arm elbow joint at 90 degrees or 30 degrees

Hi:

The arm assembly manuals say the elbow joint should be at 90 degrees to vertical when set to 1500, but the
SCC32 manual says it should be 30 degrees.

Please advise,

Thanks,

Lawrence

You havent mentioned what arm it is that you are asking about.

if im guessing right i this you are using these:
lynxmotion.com/images/data/rios106h.pdf
lynxmotion.com/images/html/build140.htm
yes i see why you would get confused.

please read step24.
“To use the RIOS Arm control software, you need to make one minor modification”.

Remove the servo horn screw from the elbow servo. Pull the servo horn off the servo, lift the arm two ‘clicks’ (30º) at the elbow and reattach the servo horn and screw. Note, the Hitec spline has 24 grooves, so each groove is 15º.
now it will be at 30º just as depicted in RIOS.
