Are vibrating disk motors water proof?

Hello technical support,

Are the vibrating disk motors Rb-Spa-1202 and Rb-Sbo-46 (VPM2) water proof? Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately they are not at all waterproof.
If you can tell us more about your application, perhaps we can offer suggestions.

Can you coat the motors with varnish or some kind of sealant to make them waterproof?

Is there a way to learn if the specific part numbers I mentioned above are waterproof?

Both motors you mentioned are not waterproof. You can seal them in a bag perhaps? The issue is that the metal (internal and external) can corrode.

You can try, but it’s best to think of a way to completely waterproof the motor, like create an enclosure.
