Arduino Uno R3 Upload Problem

Hello:

In the past 3 months, we have purchased 20 Aduino Uno R3 units from RobotShop. When trying to upload Arduino Sketches to these boards, the upload fails. The error message is: “Problem uploading to board”. All of the Arduino Uno R3 units are authentic Arduino products (no clones or knock-offs). Here is a listing of what I’ve already performed prior to this email to you:

  1. I have used other Arduion Uno R3 boards (purchased last year) and there are no problems uploading sketches.

  2. The latest Arduino IDE (Ver 1.8.5) was downloaded and used to ensure compatability. The older Arduino Uno boards have no problems uploading sketches with the 1.8.5 IDE.

  3. When testing the uploading of software, I tried it on numerous Arduino Uno boards that have been purchased within the last 90 days to ensure that the problem was not localized to only one board. All of the Arduino Uno’s in the latest purchases have problems uploading to the board.

  4. All of the Arduino Uno with uploading issues have had no problem with the computer assigning USB COM Port numbers. So, the computer “sees” the Arduino Uno’s.

Within the next week, I have an Arduino class that I’ll be teaching and need these units to be operational ASAP.

Thank you!

Hello:

I had sent in a Tech Support yesterday, relative to the issues I’m having with the 20 Arduino Uno R3 microcontrollers purchased from RobotShop, with uploading software to the Arduino. Would you please provide an update to me ASAP.

The original post sent in yesterday is attached.

Thank you!

Mark

Hi Mark,

That sounds quite unusual.

Could you please change your settings to make the upload output to the console verbose? (See attached image for details)

Then, please take a copy of the full output and paste it into a text editor, saving the file to disk. Attach this file to your reply to this post. (See other attached image for details on attaching images)

Sincerely,
