Arduino One

Hi guys,

It’s my first time with this kind of toys and looking for some advice or tips.

I do not have any backgroup on the robot/electronic hardware, so I dig around to find out what could match my need, but I don’t even now how to call it…

I need a enclosure to put my Arduino One in with the breadboard. It should be able to handle some wiring going in/out and be weather/environmental proof. It will be outside under a roof.

I’m using OneWire temperature sensor, which sound useful as the information is in numeric state and not analog. So no matter how long the wire cable is, I should get the same value. I’m wondering if you know a light/sun senor using OneWire and be able to make the difference between, Sunny, some cloud, cloudy, evening, night, etc… And should tolerate rain/water/snow. Otherwise how to make is weather proof?

If I extend my sensor cable, with some other cable, if I use a shrink, does it enough to isolate is / making it water proof?

Regards,

Francis.

There are a few enclosures you can cosider:
Arduino Freeduino Enclosure
Box for Arduino
Seeedstudio Stalker V2 Enclosure (you would need to adapt the mounting, but this seems closer to what you are looking for.

All you really need is a transparent watertight box.
