Describe clearly your project / what you are trying to accomplish.

Make sure to include any relevant links to the components you are using. ex: a product code or URL to the barcode scanner & its documentation, which Arduino board (there are many of them)?, which shield (again, many of them)?, etc.

Describe in details what you have already tried and why you think it did not work. Without knowing what you already did / need, the issue is to vague to receive proper advice/help.
