We recently purchased a ArduCam and a set of LK001 lens kit. our project needs to look at visible light, however we need to illuminate the scene with IR. The lenses supplied specify 400-700nm range. When we illuminate the scene using IR LED’s the camera sees the IR and saturates hiding all of the visible light.

It seems like the cam is capturing the higher end of the infrared spectrum, which is not all that uncommon in conventional cameras. What is your exact setup with your camera? I would also like to know which LED you are using. You might want to either use some kind of filter for your lens which will block higher IR frequencies or change the LED for something rated in the lower end of the IR spectrum
