ARC-32 Discontinued?

A few days ago, I was about to place a large order for parts when I noticed the ARC-32 was marked as out of stock. I was going to hold off on ordering until it was back in stock. Now today I am not able to find its product page on the store site.

Has this board been discontinued? Is there a replacement for it on the way? Am I now having to piece together a bunch of boards to accomplish the same thing? :frowning:

Aarh, yes very interesting. im trying to get my hands on one of these for a while now. Where did they go?

i dont know what your project entails but you can use the ABB and the SSC-32 to do the same thing. its what we were all using before the ARC32

Bot Board II

BASIC Atom Pro 28 Pin

SSC-32 Servo Controller

Lynxmotion does not make the ARC-32, Basic Micro does.

In order for Lynxmotion to carry an item a few things are required.

The pricing needs to be constant.

If features are added or functionality changes, the mfg needs to work closely with us to ensure we are not left with old outdated parts.

The documentation needs to be accurate and up to date.

Sorry to chip in here, but I don’t get it  .

The ARC-32 is an awesome board for it’s size, expensive to ship to the UK admittedly but great for robotics, plus the USB makes programming it soooo easy. I can’t see why you would stop stocking it, and leave just the BB2 and SSC-32 combo as the only viable hardware for controlling your awesome robots. Unless your planning to make your own rival board to the ARC-32, in which case I give full support  .

P.S If the product has been discontinued, shouldn’t it’s page remain live but with a discontinued message on it. I’m certain this is what sparkfun and some other places do, at least for a suitable amount of time.

There’s no one stopping you from getting it from Basic Micro.

I noticed this too a couple of days ago when I was window shopping on LM’s .com site.

This sort of makes me nervous, are there multiple hardware revisions floating around out there?

There are a couple.
