Apple picking robot

Hello, I would like to make a robot that can pick apples, and can be remotely controlled from the internet.
I’m thinking, if this one would be suitable for the task https://www.robotshop.com/products/hiwonder-hiwonder-tankbot-track-robot-car-loaded-with-robotic-arm-stm32-programming
Or is there better ideas?
It needs to be strong enough to pick apples from the ground and carry it around.

Hi @taivas and welcome to our forum.

The average weight of one apple is typically around 150-200 grams (about 5-7 ounces), but this can vary depending on the variety and size of the apple.

According to the specifications of Hiwonder Tankbot, gripper load capacity is 0.22 kg so theoretically it should be able to carry one smaller apple. In practice, it is hard to tell how it will behave. Also, I am not sure if this gripper can open up enough to fit an apple.
