Anyone do Cat Genie 120 control unit repairs?

Anyone repair Cat Genie control units or know who might be able to help?

I raised a support call with Cat Genie at least a month ago when the arm stopped working but I’ve discovered their after sales support is non-existent. Chased 3 times and each time the only person taking calls was a temp receptionist who takes a message and then no one ever calls back.

I even tried talking to sales to be routed to someone in support but he too had only started working for the company that week and the boss was out if the office and not contactable. I honestly don’t much rate this company as they don’t seem to have any real staff.

The arm itself moves freely when the control unit is lifted off the cog so it’s not a mechanical issue.

Everything else is working fine… bowl spins, water flow, it drains and dryers blow but without an arm to scoop I’ve currently got a totally useless bit of technology sitting in my house that my cats still try to use resulting in one God awful mess.

Basically when arm is triggered nothing happens but I do hear a faint click when the unit is requesting action to drop/lift the arm but the motor clearly isnt running.

Considering the total lack of after sales support I’ve received I refuse to buy another whole new Cat Genie for £300 when all I need is a repair to one component as most if it is still functioning as it should.

Anyone able to help get my unit fixed or know where I can send the control unit to be fixed?

Hello there!

Unfortunately, unless your product is still under warranty, your only option apart from asking Petnovations to repair your CatGenie would be to find a 3rd party repair center like Robotclinic. I’m not sure if they can repair a CatGenie but you can always try to ask them.

I contacted Petnovations in the USA after receiving your response as I had no idea that’s what the company that produces Catgenie was called. I logged my issue direct with US CG customer support making it crystal clear I was getting zero support from the UK.

After waiting for a call back from Cat Genie UK for 6wks… surprise surprise after complaining to the US their UK rep has just found my original incident and called… a replacement processor unit is hopefully now on its way to me.

Well I’m glad you were able to finally reach them!

We have the same issue but has lasted over a year. We took the genie completely apart even had the plumber check the pipes. We contacted cat genie and nothing.
