Anybody know if the PAA5100JE can use IR illumination?

Simple question, as the title says. Does the sensor work with IR (instead of white light)? PDF specs only mention “white light recommended”.

Hi @Molasar and welcome to our forum.

I couldn’t find any additional info except the one you already saw: it is recommended to use white led LTW-216TS5. I guess it can work with others but detection is probably lower.

Maybe you can test and see what happens?
